Gene Kelly remains as the most famous song-and-dance man in film history. His works as an actor, a dancer, a director and a choreographer largely contributed to the success of the movie musical in the 1940s and the 1950s.
His most famous movies include "The Pirate", "On the Town", "An American in Paris", and "Singin' in the Rain". Kelly also did a noticeable appearance in Jacques Demy's "The Young Girls of Rochefort" (1968).
