Plot :
Three World War II buddies promise to meet at a specified place and time 10 years after the war. At their reunion, the men discover that they can't stand each other and are not particularly happy with the way their lives have turned out, either. Ted Riley, who had dreamed of being a show business entrepreneur, is a small-time boxing promoter, heavily in debt to the Mob ; Douglas Hallerton has abandoned his plans of becoming an artist in favor of a stuffy, grey-flannel existence as an ad executive ; and Angie Valentine, who had aspired to being a master chef, is running a modest diner. Jackie Leighton, a television coordinator and boxing fan gets the bright notion of having the three veterans show up as surprise guests on a television show. The three men are hostile to the idea.
