|
Plot :
California, 1825 - armed gangs and pirates attack, plunder and spread terror in California. Marcos Zappa, a pirate, is kidnapped by Don Pedro Garcia, an adventurer whose crazy ambition is to become emperor of the country. Garcia know that, under his headband, Marcos Zappa is marked with an "R", for Renegade, because he once repudiated his caste. To avoid being discovered, he has no other choice than obey his kidnapper's will, who orders him to court and marry Manuela, the pretty daughter of Don José de Vasquez, Don Pedro's political enemy. Don Pedro's plan is to disgrace his rival, and then appear to all as a hero...
