Plot :
Tony Hunter is a famous movie star whose career is in a downturn. He decides to try his luck on the Broadway stage, and accepts to star in a musical written by his friends Lester and Lily Marton. The three team up with Jeffrey Cordova, a pretentious director who decides to turn the play into an revised version of Faust. He also insists on hiring a classical ballerina, Gabrielle Gerard, to star with Tony. Thanks to the massive egos of everyone involved, the show proves a disaster in out-of-town tryouts. Everyone then decide to put aside their differences and to work together, to lead the show to success.
